Excellent stay from start tofinish. The house was warm, immaculate and very welcoming on arrival, beautifully laid out with a broad view over the sea front, and the location was perfect, with all amenities within walking distance. Criccieth itself has pubs, restaurants, chip shops and convenience stores. The materials provided, bedding, kitchen equipment, furnishings were all complete and high quality. Even small details like a pair of binoculars for looking out to sea. We definitely recommend this property and will be booking again very soon.

Another amazing stay in this beautiful upside down house. Because of the glass surrounding the balcony we have been able to sit out every day. Just the most fantastic holiday! The accommodation was amazing, spacious, spotless and probably the most well equipped I’ve stayed in - the bedding was lovely quality too. Right on the beach, stunning views and an ideal spot to get around and see lots of North Wales. I really can’t recommend it enough.

A Perfect Winter Sanctuary!

Many reviews are based on summer occupancy, but the test of a truly great holiday property is its ability to provide everything that you need in the middle of winter! This beautiful house provides that in spades! While we watched the spectacular winter seas from the massive floor to ceiling windows we couldn't have been warmer, with underfloor heating, towel rails and obvious top level insulation providing a beautiful base to which to return from the long walks that we enjoyed every day. Fantastic hosts, provided great communication both before and after our holiday and we shall definitely return!

We had such a amazing stay in this beautiful accommodation. It has spectacular views of the beach and Criccieth Castle. We walked on the beach everyday and had a lovely meal at Dylan's, next door. Equipped with all you need, Ty Traeth it is a home from home. We had great communication with the owners before and after our stay. I would highly recommend a stay here and I look forward to another stay in the future.

Magical place to stay

The house was amazing & the location stunning. Having loads of warm space during the winter storms outside was just the best. Watching the sea from the front window was fabulous. Having access to Criccieth from the front door enabled us to explore the area further than we had ever done before.

We stayed in this lovely holiday home from 8th to 15th May 2021. The home is well equipped, very clean and the owners were helpful and responded very quickly to any queries. We are never lucky with our weather when we visit Criccieth, but there is no such thing as bad weather when you are staying at Ty Traeth. The view through the large window is spectacular. During the storms we were cosy inside, sitting on the couch watching the waves crash on the beach. On the rare sunny half days the sea sparkled like glass and we managed to used the balcony. Fantastic.

The property is just yards from the beach with great views of the sea and Criccieth castle. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, spacious, clean and well equipped. It is also in an excellent location for Snowdonia, the Lleyn peninsula beaches and shops. The owners communicated well and were very pleasant. You will certainly not be disappointed and I would highly recommend this property.

Fab house in good location overlooking the sea.Living area is upstairs and really nice with a large balcony. Dylan's restaraunt over the road serving fab food which was an added bonus. Property is stylish and well equipped. We loved Criccieth and hope to return one day.Pretty place with good eateries and a lovely castle on the hill. Harry the resident seal was snoozing most evenings close to the shore,but we didn't see any dolphins when others had. Headland walks and small villages on the beach are very pretty in the surrounding areas. A truly lovely place to visit.

Our second stay and it did not disappoint. Modern, spotlessly clean and a great location. Enjoyed fish and chips (watched from the balcony as one of our kids went to get them for us). Had great food at the restaurant next door . Enjoyed a mix of beach relaxing and mountain walks in Cwm Idwal . This year we also brought fishing rods and the owner gave us some top tips. Caught nothing , but had good fun. Have re booked for next year and already planning our family stay. The house was amazing and had so much space for 4 adults 2 year old and a small dog and to be right on the beach was brilliant especially with a toddler and a little dog. We felt we had a lovely week in luxury and definitely want to return. Highly recommend.

we were so delighted with our stay here, the house is stunning, modern, comfatable and in a lovely peaceful location. the balcony overlooking the beach was perfect, we all enjoyed sitting and admiring the view until the sun went down, even our dog spent all his time people watching......there are plenty of little cafes and places to eat close by, we enjoyed an indian takeaway one evening,and Dylans resturant opposite is a must. There are plenty of places to visit in the area but our purpose for our holiday was to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we did, walks on the beach,nice food. and luxury accomodation, perfect for us. We highly recommend this holiday rental, it was perfect.

We had a wonderful week in sunny Criccieth. The house was beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable, perfect for us and our 4 year old. The location doesn't get much better for convenience, overlooking the sea and close to Cadwaladers for ice cream and the excellent restaurant Dylan's. The weather was fantastic and we even saw dolphins in the sea from the balcony. Can't wait to come back!

Our first visit to Criccieth did not disappoint. The house is fabulous, very clean and modern, we would definitely stay again. The owners have thought of every little detail to make the stay as comfortable as possible, even left a little teddy and night lights in the small room. The views from the balcony are stunning. Great restaurant next door, and right across the road from the pebbly beach. Criccieth is a lovely little seaside town and a great base for visiting the rest of Llyn Penisula.

Location and quality of accommodation made our holiday. It’s that simple. With picture windows like that it doesn’t matter what the weather is like. Fantastic views of the bay, castle and sea. 5 star accomodation with all the mod cons you would require on holiday. A nice twist is the fact that the bedrooms are on the ground floor and a huge kitchen/breakfast bar/lounge on the top floor making the most of the views, with double patio doors and balcony. Would strongly recomend to family and friends.

Property is 5*, Living accommodation is upstairs and very well laid out with open plan Kitchen / Living area leading out through patio doors to a large balcony with stunning views over the bay and Cricceath castle & the perfect place to watch Storm Brian doing his worst Property is very dog friendly with a stone floor when you first enter the property making it easy to clean 4 legged friends paws before they go in as well as an area to remove outdoor clothing for the rest of us. We had a great Saturday out in Cricceath, very dog friendly and dinned at the Castle Hotel the 1st night where the portions are huge all complemented by good beers and a roaring open fire. Also dinned at Dylans which is just across the road from the property, again another fantastic place to eat, an amazing art deco building, with stunning views across the bay and fabulous food too. A big thanks to Graham & Jane who allowed us to move out booking slightly at very short notice, looking forward to booking with you guys again.

Absolutely top family stay in Criccieth

My wife and I had a week at Ty Traeth in Criccieth with our daughter and son-in-law and their dog. It was absolutely perfect for our needs - modern house, 2 double bedrooms (and a small third bedroom), 2 bathrooms, excellent kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and a nice tiled entry for the dog to keep her out of the house proper. Beautifully fitted out - the fittings and fixtures and equipment provided everything we needed for a great week's holiday. The location is great - overlooking the esplanade and the sea, opposite Dylans restaurant (very good), and just far enough out of the centre of Criccieth to be calm and peaceful, but close enough to walk into town. The train line runs right behind the house, but we only heard a couple of trains on the day we arrived. After that the trains didn't run for the week and a bus replacement was operating (bonus, I think). The views from the lounge area and balcony are superb, right along the coast and to Criccieth Castle. Very convenient for visiting Mt Snowdon, Port Meirion, Barmouth and all the interesting places in Snowdonia. The owners, Graham & Jane, were excellent communicators and very helpful right through the booking process and during our stay. Looking at other accommodation in the area, Ty Traeth has to be the best by a country mile. Absolutely top holiday stay on the edge of Snowdonia. Very highly recommended.

We are really pleased that we happened across this holiday home . As per other reviews we were wowed by the house and its location . We had a week of perfectly sunny weather. A few things about the area . The beaches are great with nice warm water, rock pools and also a great stretch of sand toward Black Rock . The small town is well services with a good fish a chip shop, ice cream shop, bakery, butchers etc . Everyone very friendly. Next door to the home is Dylan's restaurant. Very good menu in a nice Art Deco building . They did take out for us one night . We also used it just for the nice bar . Local to the town are all the areas of Snowdonia that oh would want to visit . We did Zip World and also went up Snowden. The home itself is fantastic and is just as described . Lovely and airy , light and with all the mod cons of a newly built property. The kids loved being able to run out of the door and directly into the sea . We liked the balcony and watching all of the sea activities , the views and were impressed one night by a pod of dolphins. In short we will be back .

We stayed at Ty Traeth in early August 2017 having researched rental properties in the region for quite some time. The house was truly exceptional and was the most well equipped we have ever stayed in. The communication with the owners before hand was great and nothing was too much trouble - they even researched places to go mackerel fishing for us. The location, on the esplanade in Criccieth, was perfect, one minute to the beach which was great for our two young boys and for sunset BBQ s. In addition, proximity to Dylan's bar/restaurant, the best in town was a welcome bonus! There were two huge double rooms and a smaller single on the ground floor and then upstairs to a huge open plan space with brilliant kitchen, dining area, lounge and balcony looking out onto the sea. I can genuinely say that every tiny detail you could possibly ask for had been thought of in advance - even down to a net and crab bucket for the kids. As a base to explore North Wales and in particular the Lleyn peninsula and Snowdonia - I really don't think anywhere comes close. If you are thinking of booking - don't hesitate, just do it!

I stayed here with my Dad last month. Booking was easy and the owners are so quick to reply to any questions. The house is one of the nicest we have stayed in, so spacious and comfortable. The views from the balcony were wonderful and just sitting inside or outside watching the sea is so relaxing. Definitely the most well equipped holiday home we have stayed in and have had many self catering breaks over the years. The beaches, castle and Criccieth village are lovely, some nice coffee shops and Castle chip shop is very popular, I met a friend for lunch at Dylan's and that was a lovely setting and quality food (they cater for all tastes including vegan) We visited lots of places but loved the steam railway to Canaerfon and Portmerion. The whole house was so clean - you have a fantastic housekeeper! Comfortable bedrooms and luxury bathrooms. We will definitely be back to this super holiday house. (If anyone needs any information on where to eat and shop for vegan food in the area feel free to message me)

We've just had an amazing break at this property. Inside was deceptively spacious and well planned. It was fully equipped, spotless and with wonderfully comfortable beds - I haven't slept so well for ages! The view from the living area was stunning, from one end of the bay to the other. Wow what can I say only that Graham & Jane run so well such an amazing sea front accommodation, they reply so fast and the very modern apartment is perfect in every way, I don't think they would ever receive a complaint, everywhere is so clean and high quality the housekeeper does a perfect job and the whole place is decorated so tasteful the artwork is amazing! When I realised the floor was heated that was a welcome surprise! I am writing this as I sit on the balcony watching the sea right in front of me and the castle on the mountain in the background and I am already planing my return visit! Relaxing, just perfect!

Just returned from 3 lovely nights in this amazing beach house. The weather was great, less than 10 degrees but T-shirt weather on the balcony, what a sun trap! The views are outstanding towards Harlech, the hills in the background were snow capped during our stay. Great views from the castle too! Dog friendly beach to the left of the property which is accessible at high and low tide. The property itself was faultless; well equipped, spacious, bright, modern, spotless and so relaxing. Powerful shower and water always hot. This is truly a great spot. We will be back!

Breathtaking Views from Beachfront Accommodation
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay here. The home was well equipped with all the necessary amenities that a family with three young children might need. Criccieth is a charming town and this property allows you to enjoy amazing ocean and castle views. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Wonderful stay at Ty Traeth

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in a brand new, luxury holiday unit overlooking the beach in Criccieth. The accommodation has everything you need and more and was truly first class, as were the views and, luckily for us, the weather. We would highly recommend Ty Traeth for long or short stay periods - our 3 day stay was nowhere near long enough and we fully intend returning in the near future. Dylan's Restaurant is right next door, Porthmadog is just a few minutes drive away but the biggest treat is the accommodation itself. We spent most of our time sitting on the expansive deck, drink in hand, looking south over Cardigan Bay.

Amazing views of the beach ! Graham &Jane the owners it's a credit to you ! Thank you for letting us take a small dog ,we couldn't keep him off the balcony ! So relaxing and such a high standard,just perfect . You have thought of everything for a family. Superb ! Close to shops and wonderful views of the castle .We will definatley stay again .thank you both .

AMAZING PLACE BY THE EDGE OF THE SEA
Stayed here during the xmas holidays , beautiful , stylish and stunning property a stones throw away from the beach. You will not get any closer in Criccieth . Lovely 3 bedroom accommodation , furnished to a high standard.The first floor is Simply a magical place to unwind in a modern spacious open plan living room / kitchen. Then step out on to the open balcony and it just blows you away. Free wifi which works well :-) and private parking for 2 cars . Everything you need is there , will be returning in July , cant wait .... The Kids loved this place and cant wait to get back.
