Welcome To The Ty Traeth Holiday Home On The Edge Of The Snowdonia National Park
Ty Traeth ( meaning Beach House ) a Luxury Holiday Home, was built in 2016 replacing The Old Boatshed, in a prime position on the Esplanade in the historic town of Criccieth.
Criccieth is on the Llyn Peninsula on the shores of Cardigan Bay, click here for more details. The town itself is overlooked by the 13th Century Criccieth Castle.
Ty Traeth was designed and built to maximize the magnificent panoramic views of beach and sea to the South, from Harlech Castle, with its amazing mountain backdrop to the east, round to the historic Criccieth Castle overseeing the town to the west.
The house is of a contemporary building design with furnishings to match.
The accommodation comprises of three bedrooms, one ensuite with king size bed, the second with super king or twin beds ( confirm your preference on booking ) and third bedroom with single bed. A family bathroom and entrance hall complete the downstairs area.
The main living accommodation, kitchen, dining area and lounge are upstairs, again taking full advantage of the amazing views.
The large lounge patio doors give access to the spacious balcony, whilst the toughened safety glass sides enable you to enjoy the uninterrupted sea views. Take in the stunning sunsets whilst enjoying an evening beverage or two and if you’re really lucky you may even see the Dolphins hunting close to the shore line.
Just a short walk from the house finds Criccieth’s gently sloping and sheltered east beach. This beach, with its safe bathing and exciting rock pools is a great playground for children.
Passing in front of the property is the Llŷn Coastal Path which stretches from Pwllheli to Porthmadog, providing access to stunning walks on your doorstep. If a long walk is not for you, try a short stroll along the esplanade bringing you to the heart of the town, revealing its quaint cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Criccieth has the added convenience of its own railway station on the Cambrian Line, which runs behind the house. The Cambrian line passes through a number of beautiful holiday resorts along the Welsh coast whilst taking in the stunning scenery of the journey.
